Under the supervision of senior attorneys or manager: attend court hearings and trials and argue on behalf of clients in all of the courts of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Advise clients on, and handle, transactions, corporate legal processes (e.g., incorporation, mergers & acquisitions, securities offerings, licensing/permitting, zoning), and litigation cases. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations, and identify implications for cases handled by the office. Conduct and defend depositions, draft and review legal documents (e.g. transaction agreements and court papers including motions, memorandum of law, and briefs). Perform related duties as to specific assignments.
