Locally owned General Contractor is looking for an experienced individual to provide payroll accounting plus administrative support. Full-time position is subject to evaluation after a 3-month probationary period. Hours are M-F 8am-430pm. Must be able to work independently to ensure efficient office operations. Duties to include the following:
• Compilation and preparation of weekly payroll, federal certified payroll reports, and various applications / renewals, reports, or correspondence
• Manage and respond to daily emails and faxes and follow-up on pending matters
• Answer phone calls and communicate with Prime contractors and customers
• Develop, organize, and maintain appropriate filing systems
• Process new employees and employee base IDs
• Assist in accounts receivable billings, collections, and reconciling cash sales
• Verify and process payments for monthly and miscellaneous expenses
• Review Purchase Orders for completeness and accuracy
• Other administrative duties as required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in working with MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe, and computer systems
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computers
• Attention to detail and be able to review all submissions to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
• A good attitude, be dependable and maintain confidentiality with sensitive material
• Associates degree minimum with general accounting knowledge & prior experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Sage Accounting and Davis-Bacon Requirements is a plus
